SOPA and PIPA Postponed IndefinitelyAfter a massive Internet reaction spearheaded by WikiPedia and Google, legislation known as SOPA and PIPA have been put on the shelves until lawmakers can find a better mousetrap.

January 9, 2012 – HDMI Licensing, LLC and the HDMI Forum, Inc., today announced that over 1,150 licensed HDMI Adopters are expected to ship over 800 million HDMI-compliant products in 2012 according to market research firm In-Stat; an increase of 17% over shipments in the year 2011. This translates into an installed base of over 3.1 billion HDMI products deployed worldwide which represents an increase of 34% over 2011.

How to Easily Disable Carrier IQ in Apple IOS 5.0 
Two carriers have so far been determined to be using CarrierIQ's data snooping technology, Apple and Sprint. Windows Phone does not use CarrierIQ according to Microsoft's Joe Belifore. Rim also says it doesn't use it. With Apple's IOS 5.0 it is quite simple to disable Carrier IQ according to latest tips on the net. We did it in less than 20 seconds.

"According to Reuters, U.S. Representative Edward Markey on Friday has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether software maker Carrier IQ violated millions of mobile phone users' privacy rights."
